Steve is a Senior Advisor with Sandhill Capital Partners in Buffalo where he brings 34+ years of investment experience including running a $4 Billion AUM brokerage office in Dallas Texas. He is a seed capital investor in a number of successful companies including Encore Wire Corporation (WIRE), Cima Labs, Family Hospice/ VistaCare, La Hacienda Ranch Restaurants, and more recently Savage IO. He is also a member of the Buffalo Angels Group and WNY Venture Association. 
 
Steve was the seed capital investor for Savage IO in December 2010 helping to formally launch the company in January 2011. During a tumultuous time in the markets and during a challenging time for the company Steve was asked by the Board and then voted in as Interim CEO in August 2016. Since that time Steve has been responsible to Savage Shareholders and to our Board of Directors for helping to turn the company around by navigating difficult markets, by raising and investing new capital, by recruiting a talented new management team – who have been instrumental in pivoting the company from High Capacity Data Storage to a Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning Infrastructure. Steve sees his primary role as building shareholder value, recruiting talented C-Level executives, problem-solving, and scaling the company through managed growth initiatives. He is excited to be a part of this dynamic company is such an interesting cutting edge industry. 
 
Steve is a 1983 Graduate of Hamilton College – Clinton NY, with post-graduate work in finance and marketing at Southern Methodist University – Dallas TX 1985, and a 1995 graduate of the 3 yr. Securities Industry Institute Executive Training program at Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia PA. He is married to his wife Tamara of 30+ years and they volunteer at ReEngage Marriage Ministry at their Church. They have 3 grown sons’ and an 18-month-old grandson.
